What is RULLA?

The company RULLA Sports Empowerment was founded by former professional soccer player Rashawn Dally.

The translation of "RULLA" is "ruler" in Patios, the native language of Jamaica. In the 80's Rashawn's father was a professional soccer player in Jamaica. He was known for his ability to dictate the tempo of the game from the midfield. The fans said he "ruled the game". That is how the name was birthed. 

Today RULLA is providing athletes with the tools to be the "ruler" of their lives. RULLA provides a holistic approach to sports to help athletes reach their full potential. RULLA understands the importance of nurturing not only the athlete within, but also the person as a whole. After all, we are human beings before we are athletes!

FOUNDER

I'm Rashawn Dally, the founder of RULLA Sports Empowerment and a former professional soccer player. Sports have significantly influenced my life, and my vision for RULLA is to leverage sports to inspire and empower the younger generation. At the age of ten, I set a goal to become a professional soccer player. In pursuit of this dream, I encountered various tools and training programs such as books, strength training, and technical training. However, among all the methods I explored, mindfulness and meditation proved to be the most impactful tools I integrated into my life. I yearn for a world where as a society we maximize the full potential of sports; using it as a vehicle towards self improvement.

DIRECTOR OF COACHING

My name is Vincent Catania. I have been involved in the sport my whole life. I played college soccer at Springfield College where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Movement Sport Science. Shortly after I earned my Master Degree from Endicott College in Athletic Administration. I worked with athletes from age 3 to age 20 and is now a Varsity Soccer Coach, High School Athletic Director, and Physical Education Teacher. I also work with parks and rec to provide opportunities that gets children involved in sports of all ages. I am excited to use my expertise with RULLA Sports Empowerment to help athletes reach their full potential both in sports and life. ​
